Carisma our first ever baby is now a very big girl now and is off for intensive training for this years Equitana in Melbourne.

Not only a cosmetic makeover, but plenty of work and development.

I am told she is an absolute hit with every human she meets; the reason being is she doesn't realize she is a horse. She thinks all people are her humans.

Look for Carisma later this year at Equitana charming the pants off everyone she meets.

Sue had the great pleasure to visit Peru for the Peruvian Championship Show. It was a spectacular show exhibiting much exciting new young blood, but also showcasing the older horses, and their amazing movement, brio and temperament.

We visited many breeding farms and were shown some very impressive younger fillies and colts.

We greatly appreciate the work that Mimi Busk Downey put into this tour to provide the Aussie contingent with some unforgettable Peruvian Horse experiences and knowledge.

We are proud to announce the arrival of Senona, daughter of Casino and Reina. She arrived at Gunspring Stud on the 15th January.

We are expecting Carisma's foal any day soon!

Gunspring Peruvians are proud and priviledged to welcome Capoeira BSN (Imp.USA). This was the first Peruvian Horse Sue saw and fell in love with six years ago. This magnificent boy has been the founding sire of much of our chosen bloodlines.

Casino and Capoeira are coming to terms with the shared celebrity status, and even though both are very different Stallions in many ways they share a wonderful temperament and Brio in the true Peruvian Tradition.

Alegre at home before leaving for Queensland

AlegreGP has been sold and is now living the good life in Childers Queensland with her new owners Jill and Gary O’Brien. They are thrilled with their little girl, and Jill had a fight to get her off the carriers who transported her. They were so impressed with her manners and temperament that they wanted to take her home to live with them “in their house”. They said she was the best behaved foal they had transported.

ClarindaGP also sold is now with her new family Sharyn Jackson and company, of animals, from Cowwarr Gippsland. Sharyn provided valuable help to us when it was time to train the foals. She has a magic way with horses, and the foals have developed beautifully under her guidance and training. She is settling in well and Sharyn is amazed and delighted with her movement and Brio. Not to mention her love of Human interaction.

CorisandaGP is being retained by Gunspring Peruvians at this stage. She is a delight to be around and we continue to enjoy her progress.

Sadly Both Chips our 33 year old gelding, and Piba our beautiful Peruvian mare have gone to the great green paddock in the sky. We miss them and their mates miss them.
